Udyog Software in talks with SEZ developers in Gujarat

Mumbai-based Udyog Software, is in talks with Special Economic Zone (SEZ) developers in Gujarat for its tax software solutions. Plus, there are several upcoming SEZ projects in the state, apart from Delhi. We see a good potential among SEZ, especially in Gujarat, for servicing tax software solutions in areas like indirect taxes, and payroll solutions, among others. Therefore, we are in talks with some developers in the state for offering such solutions.". The company expects 15 per cent of its revenue in comprehensive software solutions in indirect taxes from SEZs in Gujarat and Delhi alone, said Dixit. While 82 per cent of Udyog Software"s customers use its products in excise, rest use for purposes like other indirect taxes. Udyog Software, which enjoyed a customer base of 10,800 in December 2008, intends to double by December 2009. Udyog Software has customers across industries like chemical, FMCG, garments, iron and steel, manufacturing and process industries, medical devices, public sector, plastic industries, pharmaceuticals, retail, textiles, and telecommunications, among others. In Gujarat, the company serves customers like Welspun, ITC Filtrona, and Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited (KPTL).
