Suzlon commissions GMDC's 19.5 Mw wind farm

Suzlon Energy Limited (SEL), India’s largest wind turbine manufacturer, has completed and commissioned a 19.5 MW wind farm project for state-run Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) at the Maliya –Miyana site in Rajkot district of Gujarat. - Torrent"s Morgha project yet to take off - GMDC to invest Rs 600 crore in wind power project - GMDC Q4 net up 11% at Rs 70 cr; declares 100% dividend - Adani-Torrent to 50:50 share in GMDC"s Naini coal block - Adani group to foray into cement sector - Guj earns Rs 346.48 cr as sales tax from state PSUs in 2 years "The project comprises 13 units of Suzlon’s S82 – 1.5 Mw wind turbines and has been commissioned in record time, almost two months ahead of the contractual commissioning period," the company said in a statement. The first phase of developing 19.5 Mw project is a part of GMDC’s strategy to put up wind power generation capacity of 100 Mw involving an investment of Rs. 600 crore.
