MFs stay away from short-term debt mart

Banks too are not keen on raising funds due to surplus liquidity with them. Most dealers are also of the view that the rates could prevail at current levels for sometime due to the ample liquidity in the system. The three-month certificates of deposit (CDs) were today quoted at 3.15-3.45 per cent today, unchanged from Friday.
