Govt may import up to 2 MT rice
The government is planning to import up to two million tonnes of rice to augment domestic supply, as production of the foodgrain is projected to decline due to the twin impact of drought and floods. The Centre, which had scrapped import duty on rice last month, may also consider incentivising imports, sources said.

Bell offers help to probe YSR's chopper crash

He, however, refrained from responding to any other question related to the crash of the helicopter. Reddy, his Special Secretary P Subramanyam, Chief Security Officer A S C Wesley, and two pilots were killed when their helicopter crashed on a hillock in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday. The Civil Aviation Ministry and the DGCA have begun investigation into the crash.
